The event raised nearly $30,000 for Haitians still in need.

Gilles Marini came in 4th fourth place.

Menace from Korn, also known as Dennis Shinn, placed third and donated his $4,000 winnings to International Help for Orphans in Haiti. Actress Shannon Elizabeth came in second and donated her $5,000 winning prize to Hollywood Unites for Haiti (HUFH).

Grand prize winner was Roger Cross, donating his $10,000 prize to
Hollywood Unites for Haiti (HUFH) as well.

Elton John's Oscar Viewing Party

This event raised almost $4 million dollars for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Xtreme Lashes, President and Founder, Jo Mousselli and Co-founder and Artistic Director, Noor Daoudi were privileged to attend the event and mingle with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Guests included David and Victoria Beckham, Nicole Kidman, Mary J. Blige, Donatella Versace, Carrie Underwood, Heidi Klum as well as Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest of American Idol.

It's Official: Celebs love Xtreme Lashes!

Hi gang!! Well we have been having a fantastic time here in Hollywood and everyone has been Xtremely accommodating! As much as we tried to sit and blog yesterday, there was just too much going on! So we hope that you keep up with Xtreme Lashes on our Twitter page @xtremelashes!

So the weather in Hollywood was a little dreary yesterday morning, but that didn't stop the stars from coming out in full effect and learning more about eyelash extensions and Xtreme Lashes! We had a special treat as a real life rock star stopped by to get her lashes done in the middle of all of the action! Kim Manning, member of George Clinton & the P Funk Allstars, was so fun to work with! She is pictured below with musician Lantz Laswell and Xtreme Lashes founder and president, Jo Mousselli.

As you can see, Kim's color scheme was red and black, so she definitely wanted some color in her lashes! Xtreme Lashes stylist, Alyssa, was on hand to make sure she was taken care of. Kim's lashes look AMAZING. They will be headed to Austin for SXSW, and Xtreme Lashes hopes to catch a show! Lantz Laswell even got in on the action and received some red lashes on one of his eyes for a photo shoot. Once we have the pics we'll make sure to post them!

We met some really great folks yesterday such as Quinton Aaron ("The Blind Side"), CCH Pounder ("Avatar"), Melissa Rycroft ("The Bachelor"), and Jo did some fantastic interviews. Be on the lookout for everything!

Xtreme Lashes also has the pleasure of being at the Celebrity Poker Tournament being hosted at the W Hotel. It was all for a great cause with funds being raised for Haiti, and there was a great turnout.

Our trip is almost to an end, but tonight is the Elton John Academy Awards Viewing Party! It should be a blast!

Xtreme Lashes at the Oscars!

Hi all...sorry for the late post! We have been super busy and had such a fantastic day yesterday! Hopefully we've also kept you entertained on our Twitter page @xtremelashes as we've given you some real time updates.

The plan yesterday was for the Xtreme Team to begin the morning with a photo outside of the beautiful W Hotel on Hollywood Blvd. However, mornings of events are ALWAYS hectic! We haven't given up hope for that photo though. After some shuffling and working with a banner, we FINALLY ended up with a fantastic set up...see below:

As for celebs, we met a lot of great people yesterday. Sherri Shepherd ("Precious" and "The View"), Chyna Layne ("Precious"), James Blake (tennis player), Michael Kelly ("Changeling" and "Did You Hear About the Morgans?", Jayde Nichole ("The Hills" and 2008 Playboy Playmate of the Year), Shar Jackson ("Moesha" and "Celebrity Fit Club"), Marissa Jaret Winokur ("Hairspray" and "Dancing with the Stars", Tara Reid ("American Pie", "Cruel Intentions", and "Van Wilder"), Shannon Elizabeth ("American Pie", "Scary Movie", and "Dancing with the Stars"), Lisa Leslie (WNBA player on LA Sparks), Tinsel Korey ("Twilight") and Josh Sussman ("Glee") and that is just to name a few! Everyone was really nice and we kept getting the same feedback over and over that "wow, Xtreme Lashes look so natural!" Below is a pic of Xtreme Lashes founder and president, Jo Mousselli, posing with Shar Jackson, who was an absolute sweetheart!

The lounge was heavy with the casts from "Precious" and "Avatar" who just so happen to be pitted against one another for the "Best Picture" Academy Award.

There were several visitors from the ever popular Twilight series including (from left to right) Tinsel Korey, Edi Gathegi, & Sarah Clarke.

We also lined up some lash applications today that we are so excited about, but we can't tell you about them just yet! However, we can tell you about this fabulous lady named Jasmin who is a writer for Meg's Makeup . She was such a good sport and got her extensions applied right in the gift lounge! For those of you thinking about eyelash extensions, just talk to her. When she sat up after the application, her first word was "Woooooooooooooooooow!". Video to come...it's pretty fantastic. Some pics of Jasmin are below, and she's going to be blogging about her experience as well.

Alright, so that was our first day at the Oscars! We are so excited for day 2, as the night will end with a Celebrity Poker Tournament...and Xtreme Lashes just so happens to be in that room!

Blink Pink™ for Breast Cancer Awareness

Xtreme Lashes launched its social media campaign on July 13, 2009, as of today, we have 10,666 Facebook fans and 26,311 views on our primary YouTube Video. We post several post on our Facebook page per week with an average of 40 responses per post. It seems that no matter the subject, all discussions go back to two primary comments:

In a B2B market, where we train licensed health and beauty professional in the art of eyelash extensions, our Facebook channel has turned into a meeting place to connect Xtreme Lash Stylists with eager , “ready to book an appointment” end-consumers.

From a sales and prospecting standpoint – we are able to handle common objections raised during the sales process.

Q: Will anyone actually get these done?
A: Check out our Facebook page, we have over 10,000 fans and most are end-consumers. Click on ANY post and read the comments, everybody loves Xtreme Lashes. And YES, they DO and will get this done; many of our Lash Stylists have created careers around Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions.

Q: What is difference between Xtreme Lashes and other eyelash extension companies?
A: Check out our Facebook page, we have over 10,000 fans that adore us. We must be doing something right. Read their comments and judge for yourself.

Social media has changed the direction of marketing altogether. Companies and brands can no longer make empty marketing claims or false promises, the consumer will always speak the truth – good or bad. Marketing is no longer in the hands of the company; it is in the hands of the consumer. The best way to sum up the impact of social media is complete transparency. With that said, social media is NOT for everyone, only companies that have a strong and loyal client base will reap the most value from a social media campaign. Companies who are lacking in customer support, have disgruntled clients, or quality issues – will only amplify their negative brand image.

As a company that has always been focused on providing legendary support, quality products and education – we have nothing to hide, so social media has been extremely valuable for us. Even when we do receive the occasional “negative” comment, we do not censor it, but rather we address it immediately. The great thing is that often times, by the time that we see a negative comment, many of our own clients have already responded to it in force. Our clients have become our PR department!

In the world of discerning and informed consumers and a general distrust towards corporations - consumers trust other consumers more than they trust corporations. Social media is simply a platform that allows the consumers to speak their minds and talk to each other openly and honestly.

On a micro scale, companies should play out the following scenario before launching a social media campaign: gather a random sampling of your clients and put them in a room. What would the general feeling towards your company be? If, you feel the response would be positive, then launch a social media campaign now. If it is negative, work on making the brand image positive first and right your wrongs, then go launch a social media campaign.

Effective PR speaks to an audience directly. Press Releases are a thing of the past, replaced by social media sites and blogs. In the past, companies would create a press release and cross their fingers, hoping to get picked up by a magazine, a website or other media outlet. Often times, only content hungry blogs would pick it up, “copy and paste” the release into their site with limited to zero views. Again, each of our Facebook page posts receives at LEAST 40 comments. The number of people who comment is only a small indicator of the actual number of people who read the content - most people do not leave comments.

Social media will not necessarily change consumer attitude – it will only AMPLIFY the current attitude towards your brand. Your reputation is no longer dictated by internal Marketing and PR departments, your company’s reputation is the sum total of the consumer’s feeling towards your company. Social media will only validate and authenticate your reputation – good or bad.

Hey Everyone.

Jo Mousselli, Founder and President of Xtreme Lashes, met with 16 of the top beauty editors in New York recently. She met with them to explain the importance in safely choosing a qualified stylist, to apply lash extensions. She also introduced them to some our products, including the amazing new GlideLiner and Xtreme Lashes Eye Make Up Remover!!

Both products were instant hits with the editors! The editors loved the smooth application of the GlideLiner, they thougth the gel technology was amazing. They also loved the variety of colors available.

The Eye Make Up Remover impressed the editors with its list of ingredients. They really liked the idea that it is 95% natural with botanical extracts, and that it is 40% Aloe based.
